Mophie Juice Pack for iPhone 3G

I was going on a 4 month trip around Western Australia and the United States.   I wanted to extend the battery life of my iPhone 3G.  The Mophie Juice Pack looked like a pretty good solution.  

Mophie Pros:

• The Mophie did add battery life to my iPhone

Mophie Cons:

• Adds a noticeable bulk and weight.  You would not want to use this day-to-day use.
• You can switch on and off the Mophie external battery power but when the Mophie external battery power is switched on, the iPhone constantly engages and disengages from the Mophie external battery pack causing annoying beeps.  So the way to use this is to run down your iPhone battery and then switch the Mophie on until your iPhone is charged and then switch the Mophie off.
