I spend a lot of time in the water surfing, spear fishing and free diving.  I needed a camera that can take a lot of abuse and still remain waterproof.  The Olympus Stylus Tough 8010 14MP lived up to these criteria.  I took the camera on a 4 month surf trip and it survived.   I did take good care of the camera.  I always rinsed the camera in fresh water every time I got out of the salt water or pool.  The only little glitch was the lens cover failed to open in a few occasion.  I rinsed the camera throughly in fresh water.  Opening and closing the lens cover by turning on and off the camera and that seams to fix the problem. 

That was the best part of the camera.  What I hate the most about this camera is it is soooo slow to take a picture and the picture image was not that great.  Since the lens is s poor, I really don't see why it has to be a 14MP camera.  Maybe this is the reason it is so slow?  I tried to buy the best memory I could find.  I tried the SanDisk Ultra 16GB SDHC 15MB/s and the Silicon Power SDGC 16GB and the camera's performance did not change.

One thing I really hated was the magnetic latch on the Olympus case.  It kept demagnetizing my hotel room key!
